"HOW WE WORK"

In a region characterized by high number of research centres and institutions of excellence and by a business network made up mainly of small and medium-sized enterprises, AREA Science Park’s technology transfer service is based on specific actions aiming at satisfying the real needs of companies by carrying out a new and personalized transfer of expertise and skills.
The system can provide solutions which are innovative in every aspect, and which integrate services aimed at increasing business competitiveness by promoting the creation of spin-offs, enhancement of research and advanced training.

As early as 1997 AREA started to use its extensive knowledge of the sector to set up a series of initiatives for disseminating innovation and put an active “door to door” network at the service of businesses.

Staff specifically trained to work as “technology brokers” visit companies and, from time to time, identify the solutions most appropriate to their needs. All this can be achieved thanks to the cooperation with a network of experts from research bodies, universities and the consultancy sector with whom AREA has, over the years, developed and consolidated excellent relationships.

Visiting companies, evaluating their needs, arranging contacts with experts, providing project follow-up, making sure that objectives have been achieved - these practices optimize time and resources and provide businesses with constant assistance during all phases of innovation.
