"OPEN DAY" A whole day to get to know the life of a scientist, going about his/her daily business. The fascination of science, of research, of the infinitely small and the infinitely fast, of cutting-edge technology laboratories and the way in which academics and researchers make this amazing world their life’s work: this is what the AREA Science Park Open Day is about, a chance to get a close-up look at how Italy’s biggest Science and Technology Park functions and at the lives of those who work there.
The biggest multisector science and technology park in Italy opens the doors of its laboratories and centres to enthusiasts throughout the day.
It is those actually carrying out the research who talk about their work and show visitors round their laboratories.
Apart from the scientists, you will also meet many staff who animate the park with a series of fringe activities to offer a whole day’s full immersion in research, science and technology.

Children of all ages can get to know the scientific world playing with science. There are many learning games that involve the smallest children in building little scientific toys, while the older ones can try their hand at research project activities and simulations, step by step, just like the scientists who work at AREA Science Park. |
