"SCIENTIFIC DISSEMINATION" AREA Science Park organises a series of different initiatives open to the general public, with the aim of helping to make technical and scientific knowledge a shared source of knowledge, accessible to all. The proposed initiatives are consequently geared towards a public with no specialist knowledge, wanting to satisfy its own curiosity by finding out more about science and technology and about the innovations and the benefits deriving from them. Science does not exist in a vacuum, watched over by a few expert “custodians”: it is a fascinating, compelling subject, and one that can be approached easily and immediately to discover a world with important consequences in everyday life. The initiatives fall within five major projects: “Let’s talk about ...” - seminars on specific themes, with international experts “AREA Nobel” - face-to-face encounters with Nobel Prize winners and some of the world’s most important exponents of science “Open Day”- a day for discovering AREA Science Park “Science Café” - conversations about science around the tables of Trieste’s most famous historic café. “Get to know AREA” –the Science and Technology Park opens up to visitors.
