The aim of the AREA Science Park Consortium is to create a lasting link between research and the business world.
To promote innovation culture and actually accomplish the transfer of technology from research to the business world at a local and national level, the Consortium follows a number of strategic guidelines which include:
- promotion of the Science and Technology Park
- creation of new exchange opportunities between the research bodies and the production sector
- drive towards internationalisation
- increase in competitiveness with spin-off actions
The activity of the Consortium is inspired by founding values such as excellence, multi-sector approach, market oriented research, organisational ability, advanced services and enhancement of human resources.
Thanks to these principles and to the results achieved over the last years the Consortium can offer valuable elements for the elaboration of national guidelines aimed at coordinating the wide range of public, private or mixed subjects committed in different ways to supporting innovation processes for businesses and public administration.
AREA has many years of successful experience in technology transfer, which enabled it to turn innovation into a consolidated good practice.
